To replace the battery of the key fob for a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, press the unlock button to release the mechanical key, then use the same key to lever in the designated slot of the fob and separate the two halves of the shell. Insert the new battery of the same type, ensuring the polarity is correct, then close the shell by pressing the two halves together until the clips are fully engaged. Finally, fold the mechanical key back into its slot and check the correct functioning of the fob using the vehicle's lock and unlock buttons.
