Removing the EGR valve on a Mercedes R-Class? Let's see the disassembly of the damaged EGR valve. Let's lift the front hood, let's put it in safety. We remove the plastic covering the engine (engine cover panel). We unscrew the locking pins above the metal part of the EGR valve with a socket wrench, disconnect and move the electrical terminals. We fix the new EGR valve inside the engine compartment (we screw in the tightening screws). We mount the engine cover plastics. We test the operation of the EGR valve. We start the engine and see how it works. We clean the EGR valve or replace it with a new one.
