In this tutorial, we can see how to disassemble the EGR valve in the Mercedes Classe R, a very simple operation to be carried out in case we need to clean it or replace it. Before proceeding, make sure that the engine is completely cool. Let's start by opening the hood, then locate the valve in question located just behind the intake manifold, disconnect the two upper connectors and remove the bolt from the metal cover. Unscrew the two valve fixing bolts, disconnect the tube, and separate it from the engine. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
