Use a 14 Torx wrench to remove the bolt as shown in the video. If the gas strut you purchased is not identical to the manufacturer's part, make sure it comes with a bracket for adaptation. In that case, bolt the bracket in place and attach the support hook to the highest hole where you will mount the spring strut. This is very simple; just push the "female" end of the strut into place against the "male" end mounted on the hood's hatch and inside the compartment. Repeat the process on the other strut. If the purchased part is identical to the one removed, simply pull it off with force and install the new one.
