How to Open the Hood of the Mercedes Benz A-Class

This guide shows how to open the hood of the Mercedes A-Class. You can easily access the engine compartment from the driver's position. In fact, there is a small red lever on the dashboard near the pedals: pulling it will release the lock of the hood. Now, after pulling the lever, move to the front of the vehicle. In the gap created between the hood and the frame, near the manufacturer's logo, there is a small lever that, when pressed, will fully release the lock. By lifting the hood and securing it with the prop rod or by holding it in the fully open position (for models with hydraulic lift supports), you can access the engine. To close it, simply unlock the panel and push it back into position with a light force.
