Replacement of Auxiliary Drive Belt

Model: Mercedes CLS C219, MK 1 - Years 2004-2010

It is advisable to perform this maintenance only if you have good general mechanical knowledge. When replacing the belt, also replace the tensioner pulley. Before removing the belt, it is preferable to sketch the arrangement of pulleys and the various paths of the belt between them. Rotate the tensioner and lock it in this position by inserting a pin; at this point, you can slide off the old belt and fit the new one, wrapping it correctly around all the pulleys. Once positioned, release the tensioner, remove the pin, and tension the system.
