Mercedes Classe M - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005
Part: Hand brake
Operation: Handbrake cable replacement on Mercedes M-Class

After unscrewing the bolts, lift the car and remove the right rear wheel. With an 18 socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts on your right, as shown in the video. Unscrew the T40 torx on the disc, then remove the spring and its pin with pliers. Using leverage, remove the brackets holding the jaws and disassemble them. Using a flat screwdriver, detach the cable attached behind the disc. Using the rounded tip pliers, disconnect the handbrake cable following its path until you reach the lever. Insert the new cable in reverse and reassemble everything.
