Replacing Handbrake Cable on Mercedes M-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

After unscrewing the bolts, lift the vehicle and remove the rear right wheel. Using an 18mm socket, unscrew the two bolts on your right, as shown in the video. Unscrew the T40 torx screws on the disc, then detach the spring and its pin with pliers. Lever the brackets holding the shoes and remove them. Using a flat screwdriver, detach the cable fixed behind the disc. With rounded-tip pliers, detach the handbrake cable following its path until you reach the lever. Insert the new cable in reverse order and reassemble everything.
