Replacing Front Headlight Bulbs on Mercedes SLK

Model: Mercedes Slk R170, MK 1 - Years 1997-2004

Open the bonnet and place the appropriate support rod. If the headlight you are working on is the right one, I recommend removing the air filter box cover to gain a bit more manoeuvring space. At this point, accessing any bulb in the front headlight will be a piece of cake: for most of them, simply disconnect the connector and open the metal clip that holds them in place, then replace it with the new bulb before reassembling everything. For others, you only need to slightly unscrew the back of the bulb, which is the holder.
