Instrument Cluster Bulb Replacement

Model: Mercedes Slk R170, MK 1 - Years 1997-2004

To replace the backlighting bulbs of the instrument cluster, you need to remove the instrument cluster itself: start by unclipping the side cover of the dashboard where the fuses are located, remove the side air vent by unscrewing the relevant fixing screw and the portion of the dashboard under the steering wheel; then proceed to remove the frame around the instrument cluster by gently unclipping it to access the fixing screws; once the instrument cluster is extracted, disconnect the power connector, unclip the rear bulb holders, and replace the bulbs (T5 fitting). Reverse the process for reassembly.
