In this tutorial, you will learn how to replace the instrument cluster bulbs in a Mercedes SLK, a very simple task. First, ensure that the key is not inserted. Then, remove the side panel of the dashboard and unscrew both the newly exposed screw and the one accessible from the left air vent. Next, remove the panel located at the bottom of the steering column, detach the entire dashboard cover, and unscrew the fastening screws of the instrument cluster. At this point, you can remove the cluster from its housing, disconnect the connector, and replace the damaged bulb. Follow the reverse procedure to reassemble everything.
