In order to remove the instrument panel from the Mercedes SLK, you need to press the special button which allows you to pull the steering wheel back and lower it, in order to have easier access to the instrument panel. At this point, you will have to remove the cover located in the lower part of the instrument panel, so that you can unscrew the two screws underneath. When these have been removed, the instrument panel can be extracted from its housing by disconnecting the connectors in its rear part. Once the framework has been removed, it will be possible to replace it with a new spare part.
