How to Replace the Thermostat on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class 200

Model: Mercedes Classe B W245, MK 1 - Years 2005-2011

Before starting, open the bonnet to access the engine compartment. Remove the air filter and its housing by unscrewing the screws that secure it, then disconnect the hoses. This will allow you to locate the thermostat that needs replacing. Disconnect the two hoses attached to it and also unplug the connector. To remove the thermostat, simply unscrew and remove the three bolts that hold it in place, then pull it out of its housing. To fit the new thermostat, follow the instructions in reverse, successfully completing the replacement.
