This guide shows how to replace the fuel filter on the Mercedes SLK 200 Kompressor petrol model. The filter is located in the tank, accessible from the boot. The first step is to remove the protective panels and metal shields of the tank. At this point, you can reach the cover of the filter housing; unscrew all the retaining screws and extract the filter. Disconnect the control cable and the fuel pipes. To detach the latter, press the two tabs on the head of the piece and pull. The central pipe has a slightly different extraction method, using a button to press. Now you can remove the tank seal and refit the new filter. Following the previous steps, you can reassemble the removed parts. The operation is complete.
