Instructions for Removing Door Panel

Model: Mercedes Slk R170, MK 1 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Door trim panel

To remove the door panel, first remove the fixing screws located along the inner edge of the door near the lock. Next, remove the triangular plastic cover located just behind the external mirror and the cover of the internal handle. Beneath this cover, there are additional screws securing the panel that must be unscrewed. At this point, remove the cap marked AIRBAG and unscrew the screw underneath. Now, pry along the edges to release the clips, disconnect the internal opening handle cable and the tweeter.
