How do you remove the door panel (driver's side) on a Mercedes SLK Cabriolet? Follow these steps. Before starting the disassembly, disconnect the battery terminals located in the boot. Begin disassembly: use a trim tool to remove the plastic cover on the door handle. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the fastening screws located in the plastic handle. Once all screws are removed, use the trim tool to detach the window switch panel and all the plastic clips securing the door. Pull the door panel away by hand, disconnect any power connectors and the release cable.
