How to Replace the Display on a Mercedes A-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe A W169 - Years 2004-2012

Today, learn how to replace the display on a Mercedes A-Class. If any letters are missing from the text on the central display of the instrument cluster, it means that some pixels on the display are damaged. To solve this problem, you can replace just the display in the cluster, but it requires some skill and good manual dexterity. You need to remove the cluster from the dashboard, then take off the outer cover, unscrew the needles, separate the electronic circuit from its plastic support, and access the display. Disconnect the flat cable, detach the display with its support, peel off the underlying film, and apply it to the new display. Then, reassemble the cluster in reverse order, paying special attention to inserting the flat cable into its connector.
