If the boot of your Opel Insignia won't open, for example due to a fault with the lock actuator or the corresponding control button, you can perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, open the right rear door, then fully lower the backrest of the seat by operating the respective lever.

Next, go inside the boot, locate the indicated gap, and using a screwdriver, manually unlock the lock. At this point, you can open the tailgate and repair the faulty component.

How to Activate the Disabled TRC on the Toyota Yaris?
