You can reach into the trunk where we find a small cover that allows us to access the tailgate lock from the inside and trigger the opening mechanism. Once the tailgate is open, we can see that the problem was with the lock of the outer handle, where some wiring had been damaged, which can happen due to the continuous opening and closing of this component. After the repair, with the handle back in place, the problem was resolved.
