How to Dismantle the Rear Door Handle of the Opel Insignia Mk1

This guide shows how to replace the external handle of the rear door of the Opel Insignia Mk1. The first operation is to open the door and remove the plastic cover at the lock height. Using a Torx T20 screwdriver, unscrew the locking pin of the lock cylinder and pull it out. Pull the handle and push it towards the rear of the vehicle to unlock the first catch, then rotate it towards the front of the vehicle to remove the second catch. To fit the new handle, simply insert the end of the handle into the corresponding hole and then insert the part that will contact the lock cylinder. Refit the lock cylinder and screw in the bolt. Check the proper functioning.
