How to Replace the Battery in a Mercedes Key Fob

To replace the battery in a Mercedes key fob, first extract the emergency key by pulling the tab. Then, insert a screwdriver into the slot where the emergency key was and apply upward pressure on the left side of the fob to release the shell. Once this is done, the battery compartment will be visible; remove the old battery and replace it with a new, functional one. To finish, simply close the shell by pressing until you hear a click and reinsert the emergency key.
