How to fix a non-working central locking on a Mercedes

If the central locking on your Mercedes is not working and makes the characteristic "machine gun" noise, this video is for you. Remove the cover of the front handle; it hides two Torx screws that we will remove to free the entire panel. Once these two screws are out, the panel is held by clips, so carefully pull it off, being mindful of the clips and rear connectors. With the door exposed, remove the lever on the left: replace it with a cable tie and reattach the nozzle. Check your spring supply (if you have one; otherwise, you will need to obtain one of the same size as shown in the video to replace it). Attach the spring to the cable tie and secure it by making a hole near the bracket. Refit the panel and test the central locking. It should now open and close normally. Job done.
