Inspection of Cabin Fan Motor

Model: Mercedes Slk R170, MK 1 - Years 1997-2004

The fan for air circulation in the cabin is located above the passenger side, just below the glove compartment: to access it, first remove the side deflector at the beginning of the central tunnel and then the grille under the glove compartment. At this point, there are two white plastic clips that hold the inspection door of the fan speed regulator closed: slide the two clips inwards and open the door to access the regulator. You will see the power cables of the fan motor connected to the brush holder and the winding of the motor's rotor: the first step is to blow out any accumulated dust.
