Replacement of Cabin Air Filter

Model: Mercedes Slk R170, MK 1 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter is located on the passenger side, beneath the glove compartment: remove the soundproofing panel and locate the cabin air filter housing (it is easy to recognise as the securing clips of the cover are rectangular white plastic elements).
Then slide the securing clips of the cover outwards to release them, remove the old filter, and insert the new one, ensuring the correct airflow direction. Finally, reinstall the cover and the soundproofing panel. This type of maintenance should be performed regularly to avoid unpleasant odours inside the cabin.
