To replace the interior rearview mirror on a Mercedes E-Class, use a tool like a screwdriver to pry at the top of the mirror. This will detach the small panels covering the supports. Underneath, you will find the screw that secures the mirror to its housing, which needs to be loosened. Once this screw is loosened, you can also disconnect the mirror's connector. This allows you to connect the new mirror to the connector and reattach everything to its place.
