Resetting the Tire Pressure Warning Light

Many vehicles are equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system that alerts you in case of a flat tire; this system uses either sensors inside the valves or can detect a change in wheel speed with a deflated tire through the ABS sensors: the strategy used depends on the manufacturer's design choice. That said, once you verify the correct inflation pressure (the instructions are found inside the fuel filler door), turn on the ignition and scroll through the settings menu using the buttons on the steering wheel, access the reset function, and confirm.
