How to Move the Automatic Shift Lever

If the car is stuck in the parking position with a dead battery, and you cannot turn on the ignition to move the shift lever, you can perform this procedure manually: just below the shift lever, there is a button that, when pressed, allows you to move the shift lever freely, enabling you to shift it into neutral to at least move the car. There are two ways to reach this button: the first method does not require disassembling any components, just a Z-shaped tool; open the cup holder compartment right behind the shift lever, remove the inner cover, and insert the tool to reach the button; similarly, detach the trim at the base of the shift lever, remove the boot and the center console cover to access the button.
