How to replace the crankshaft sensor in the Mercedes E-Class?

In this tutorial, you can see how to replace the crankshaft sensor in the Mercedes E-Class, a very simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, wait for the engine to cool down sufficiently to work safely. Start by opening the hood, then disconnect the two front ducts and remove both the air filter box and the plastic cover. Once that is done, locate the sensor in question positioned at the left rear of the engine, to your right when looking at the vehicle from the front, disconnect the connector and remove the mounting bolt with an E8 Torx wrench. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
