To replace the cooling fan on a Mercedes E-Class, open the hood to access the cover panel at the front of the engine compartment. Remove this panel and then the one located at the bottom of the compartment to reach the screws that secure the radiator fan to its mounts.

Once these mounting screws are loosened and the connectors are disconnected, you can remove the fan from its position to replace it with a new one.
