In order to remove the gear lever knob, start by unhooking the frame at the base of the same in order to lift the leather boot and access the stud located just below the knob; then rotate the boss so as to release the knob from the lever and to be able to remove the knob complete with cap and frame; then disconnect the sockets and unhook the frame from the base of the leather cap; at this point remove the boss and retract the four elastic tabs that secure the knob to the cap by removing the sealing collar; we will then proceed backwards for reassembly.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts. In this way it will be possible to insert a new battery, properly fixing it and connecting it to the relative cables, covering everything with the casing.
