If you have to proceed with the replacement of the front shock absorbers you must immediately take into consideration the need to have the appropriate clamps to crush the springs; having said this, proceed by lifting the car on the bridge and removing the front wheel; disconnect the brake fluid pipe and the cables of the speed and brake wear sensors from the shock absorber; then unscrew the fixing pins of the shock absorber to the hub support and lower the car to access the engine compartment; at this point, in order to access the domes and therefore disassemble the shock absorber support, the plastic coating immediately under the windscreen must be removed by removing both the wiper blades and the relative drive mechanism; once the support has been disassembled, extract the shock absorber from its seat, apply the clamps to squeeze the spring just enough to remove the support from the stem and free the damper; insert the spring and the support complete with bellows on the new shock absorber and complete the assembly and then proceed backwards for installation on board the car.
