Replacement of Front Shock Absorbers

When replacing the front shock absorbers, consider the need for appropriate clamps to compress the springs. Start by lifting the vehicle on a ramp and removing the front wheel. Disconnect the brake fluid line and the cables from the speed and brake wear sensors from the shock absorber. Then, unscrew the mounting bolts of the shock absorber from the hub mount and lower the vehicle to access the engine bay. At this point, to access the strut mounts and remove the shock absorber mount, you will need to remove the plastic cover directly under the windscreen by taking off both the wiper blades and the associated mechanism. Once the mount is removed, extract the shock absorber from its seat, apply the clamps to compress the spring enough to remove the mount from the shaft and free the damper. Insert the spring and the complete mount with bellows onto the new shock absorber and complete the assembly, then reverse the process for installation in the vehicle.
