The replacement of the hood lift pistons on the Mercedes 190 W201 model is very simple. First, we lift the front hood of the car and secure it on the sides with wooden sticks or any other object to keep the hood open. The second thing to do is to unscrew the fastening element that connects the shock absorber piston to the car, using a 13mm wrench. Once the piston is removed, you can remove the bar. The third thing to do is to install a new shock absorber piston. Insert the piston and then tighten it with a 13mm combination wrench.
