How to Replace the Front Headlamp of a Mercedes W201

Model: Mercedes 190 W201 - Years 1982-1993

To replace the front headlamp of a Mercedes W201 (190E), open the bonnet and locate the upper fixing points of the headlamp unit. Remove the front grille by disengaging the clips or unscrewing the fixing screws to access the internal supports of the headlamp. Unscrew the side and bottom screws that secure the unit to the front crossmember. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the bulbs from the back of the headlamp. Once all fixings are free, slide the headlamp unit outwards. Insert the new headlamp into the housing, connect the connectors, align the supports correctly, and tighten all screws. Refit the grille and check the alignment of the beam.
