Replacing Seat Adjustment Controls

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

To replace the controls that operate the electric seat adjustment and memory settings, first remove the door panel. Start by removing the plastic cover of the lock, located at the front of the panel, the one under the armrest handle, and finally the one near the external rearview mirror. Then, unscrew the various fastening screws and release the clips along the edges to remove the panel and disconnect the lock cable and connectors. At this point, move the sound-absorbing cover and unscrew the four nuts that secure the seat control switch.
