To replace the timing belt on a Mercedes A-Class, lift the vehicle so you can loosen the nuts securing the right front wheel. Remove the wheel by loosening the bolts and then take out the inner fender liner.

At this point, locate the tensioner pulley, which needs to be loosened to reduce the tension on the belt. This will allow you to install the new belt, tension it properly, and ensure everything functions correctly.
