In this video, see what to do if the fuel door of your Mercedes A-Class W177 is stuck: the culprit is the actuator responsible for opening the door. There is a way to unlock the actuator, but it's nearly impossible to know how without removing the entire lock from the door, and to do that, you need to cut it off because there are no screws.

Once you have it in hand, you'll find that there is actually an unlock button, which is invisible and unreachable with the actuator installed. Even knowing this - and knowing how to do it - you still need to remove the trunk carpet from the side of the door (don't disassemble half the car like the YouTuber did). If you want to remove the actuator without damaging the car, once the little door is open, all you have to do is push up the tab that the YouTuber shows, and the actuator will come out.
