In this tutorial, you will see how to unlock the automatic transmission in a Mercedes E-Class, a very simple and quick operation to perform in case of emergency to move the vehicle. First, go inside the cabin, then grab the base of the shift boot and pull it off. Next, locate the yellow button at the back of the mechanism, press it, and simultaneously move the lever to the neutral position.

The transmission will now be unlocked, allowing you to move or tow the vehicle.
