How to adjust the handbrake of a classic Mini

Model: Mini Mini Mark2 - Years 1967-1970
Part: Parking brake

To adjust the handbrake on a classic Mini, we need to lift the car at its rear. The adjustment must be made from inside the car, but we have the carpet in the way, so we will have to remove it, and first we will have to remove the front seats as well. It is less complicated than it seems to say, but it certainly takes some time. Once this is done, we have exposed the cable, and the adjustment is easily done with a wrench, tightening the adjuster until the cable has the right tension we want to give it, generally about three or four clicks of the lever. Once the operation is done, we just need to put the carpet and seats back in place.
