In this video, we will see how to replace the fuel filter of the Mini Cooper S R53: we can find the replacement, for example, on auto-doc. It with the code 108931 at the price of 14.16 euros + 9.95 euros for delivery. First, we will need to release the pressure of the fuel system to avoid being sprayed by the pressurized fuel. This is done by removing the fuse F53 in the engine compartment; it will turn off after a few seconds, consuming the residual pressure. The filter is located on the driver's side, under the car just in front of the fuel tank: it looks like a can with inlet and outlet pipes connected to quick connectors that, once disconnected, will release some fuel. Disconnect the electrical sensor and loosen the bolt that will allow us to remove the old filter. When installing the new one, we must pay attention to the arrow indicating the direction of the fuel flow, which is located on the filter: it is essential to install it in the right direction. Reconnect pipes, sensors, and fastening straps. Reinstall the fuse to restore pressure and start the engine.
