How to Reset the Service Light on a Mini Cooper?

Model: Mini Mini R53, R52, R50 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Service warning light

From the instrument cluster of the Mini Cooper, you can clear the Service light by turning on the ignition by turning the key in the corresponding ignition switch: once activated, press and hold the button on the right side of the instrument cluster until the "rST" message starts flashing. When the light is flashing, release the button and press it again; this will completely clear the Service light and reset the maintenance interval. Finally, turn off the ignition to finish.
