How to open the bonnet of a Mini Countryman

To open the bonnet of a MINI Countryman, first operate the release lever located in the cabin, at the bottom of the driver's side. Next, move to the front of the vehicle and locate the safety lever positioned under the edge of the bonnet. By operating this device, the bonnet will fully unlock and can be lifted. Once opened, the bonnet is held in position by support struts or a prop rod, depending on the vehicle version. To close it, simply lower it a few centimetres from the lock and let it drop gently, ensuring that the locking mechanism engages correctly.
