How do you remove the external mirror from the Mini's mirror housing? Let's see how to remove and replace the mirror. Pry between the perimeter of the mirror cap and the mirror glass: pry until the glass detaches from the mirror. Be careful if the glass is broken into multiple pieces. Remove the mirror cover if you need to replace it or work inside it. Finally, fit the new mirror, ensuring the plastic clips snap into place on the mirror housing. Install the mirror identical to the original in size.
