How to replace the alternator of a Mini Cooper

Model: Mini Mini R57, R55, R56 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Alternator

Before we can start, we will have to go and open the front hood of our Mini Cooper. So let's start by unscrewing the Torx screws that secure the front bumper, and then remove the bumper itself. Once this is done, we will have to go and remove the internal aluminum bumper. At this point, we will have to go and remove the radiator bolts, so that we can move it just enough to reach the alternator. Once we have reached the alternator, we will have to loosen the belt tensioner, and then unscrew the bolt that holds the alternator in place. When we have completed this step, we will be able to remove the alternator, and we will have finished the disassembly. To mount the new alternator and close everything again, we simply have to follow these instructions in reverse, and the replacement will be finished.

How to Remove the Fuel Pump from the Tank on an Opel Astra

How to remove the fuel pump from the tank on an Opel Astra? First, disconnect the battery cables. Next, remove the rear seat cushions from the car. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap (located on the metal panel), then remove it from its seat. Use absorbent paper around the perimeter to soak up any liquid leaks. Unscrew the large securing bolt of the fuel pump (if present on the model), disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation pipes. Extract the floating fuel pump from its seat along with any attached parts. Finally, refit a new piece.
