In this video, you will learn how to disassemble and replace the remote key battery on the Mini Cooper R53 by following these simple steps. First, take your remote and start by prying open the sides with something thin, like a small flat screwdriver, to separate the two halves of the remote; this will give you access to the circuit board and the battery, which is located just behind, as shown in the video.

At this point, remove it and replace it with a new one of the correct type (in this case, a CR 2025 3V); insert it the right way round and reassemble the remote!
