How to replace the key battery of a Mini Cooper

Model: Mini Mini F57, F56, F55, F54 - Years 2014-2023
Part: Key

Let's start by pressing the button on the side of the key. In doing so we will go to remove the emergency key present inside. Once the emergency key has been removed, we can see a slot on the back of the key. Inside this slot we will have to insert the tip of a flat screwdriver and pry it, thus removing the rear cover. When we have removed the cover, we will have an eye on a plastic cap blocked by the hook, also to be removed with the slotted screwdriver. By doing so we will have direct access to the battery, thus giving us the possibility to replace it. As soon as we have replaced the battery, to install the new battery and lock the key, simply repeat the steps in reverse, and we will have successfully completed the replacement.
