To replace the front brake pads on a Mini R50, lift the car and loosen all the bolts securing the front wheel. Once removed, use a screwdriver to push the pads apart within the brake caliper.

The caliper must then be removed by loosening its mounting bolt with a ratchet spanner. After removing the caliper, you can slide out the old pads and replace them with a new set. Once the new pads are in place, reinstall the caliper and all previously removed components.
