To replace the remote battery in a Mini Cooper, use a lever tool to remove the cover from the back, where the manufacturer's logo is located. Next, slide out the key and pry inside its housing to remove the circular cover protecting the battery.

The old battery can then be removed and replaced with a new one; after the replacement, seal everything with the appropriate covers and insert the key.
