How to Reset the Service Light on a Mini

Resetting the engine oil warning light is one of the simplest tasks you can perform independently, even without much experience in cars and mechanics. To do this on a Mini, press the start button once to turn on the ignition. Next, locate the small button on the right side of the speedometer and hold it down for about seven seconds. Release it and then press and hold it for another three seconds. Finally, to confirm the reset, press it one last time and wait for the procedure to complete.
