How to Change the Engine Oil in a Mini Cooper

To replace the engine oil in a Mini Cooper, bring the engine to operating temperature and then turn it off. After safely lifting the vehicle, remove the lower panel, if present, and unscrew the drain plug from the sump to allow the used oil to fully drain into a suitable container. In the meantime, replace the oil filter, lubricating the seal of the new element before installation. Once the draining is complete, refit the plug with the corresponding seal and fill the engine with oil of the specification recommended by the manufacturer through the filler cap. Finally, start the engine for a few minutes, check for leaks, and verify the oil level, topping up if necessary.
