Below we will discover how to perform the regular maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and oil filter, on the Mini Cooper S. First, we lift the vehicle and start unscrewing the oil drain plug located on the oil pan, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes.

From the engine compartment, we will remove the oil filter cartridge by unscrewing the screw of the coolant reservoir to gain access, as shown in the video.

At this point, we unscrew the filler cap and top up with new oil (following the specifications in the owner's manual).
