How to perform the engine oil change on a Mini Cooper.

Model: Mini Mini R53, R52, R50 - Years 2001-2007

Today we will replace the engine oil of the Mini Cooper model R 53. To perform the oil change, we need to open the front hood and unscrew the oil filler cap to facilitate the drainage of the used oil from the oil pan; we will lift the vehicle on a lift or on jacks. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, we will unscrew the drain plug and allow the oil to drain into a container. Once the oil has fully drained, we will replace the plug. We will clean the oil filter housing with brake cleaner and a rag to replace the gasket and the oil filter. The oil filter housing is located next to the engine oil reservoir. We will install the oil filter housing and pour four liters of engine oil into the oil reservoir to complete the oil change.
